The BeeKays - July 20th, 2012

Join us for a night of live music, friends and good food at a fundraising event for the youth missions trip of Christ Lutheran Church in Faribault.

We'll be featuring The BeeKays, a genetically gifted old time country/rock family band playing a little bit of everything from country favorites, bluegrass and a bit of rock and roll. Requests of all kinds will be taken so if you have a request, post it on the Facebook wall for the event (Concert in the Yard.)

All proceeds go towards the Christ Lutheran Church youth mission trip to the Pacific Northwest.

If you're planning to attend, here's how we do this ...

First, please remember that we host house concerts to provide our friends (and their friends) an opportunity to come out and enjoy a good show in a comfortable and personal setting. We do this for fun and in this case, we are hosting this show to support young people doing good things.

Normally we limit attendance to insure that everyone has a chance to be close to the performers, and to be protected from the elements in case of rain, but since this is a fundraiser, we're not going to worry about that for this show so please invite as many friends as you can! We hold all of our shows rain or shine so don't let the weater keep you away.

If you plan on attending, you can send us an email with the number of people in your party or you can sign up on the Facebook event page so we can estimate food needs. If you know you are attending you can mail us a check ahead of time or dontate at the door. Either way, make sure to make your checks out to Christ Lutheran Church.

As far as the show goes ...

We want everyone to have time to relax and visit before and after the concert we ask that everyone bring "finger food" to share. You are also welcome to bring your own beverage to drink or, for this show, just bring some money since the youth group will be selling bottled water and pop as part of their fundraiser. There will most likely be some other fundraising opportunities at the show so bring your checkbooks and a generous heart.

We plan on having either the grills and/or the fryers going for hot appetizers to feast on, weather permitting, so if everyone brings a just little food, there should provide plenty to eat. We will also set up a wine tasting table and will be sharing some of the “Camp Dave Winery” vintages so if you'd interested, bring your own favorite bottle to share!
